Terms of use
Last updated 19 September 2026
This site exists to help the church abolish abortion. These terms describe how we expect one another to behave here, and the plain terms on which the site is offered.
“Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear.” — Ephesians 4:29
1. Who this is for
Abolition Events is for people who affirm the Norman Statement on the Abolition of Abortion. Affirming it is a condition of joining, and if the statement is revised you will be asked to affirm it again. If you cannot affirm it, this is not the place for you, and we say that without malice.
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account, and you must give a real name and a working email address.
2. How we treat one another
We are commanded to speak the truth in love, and both halves of that are binding. By using this site you agree to the following.
- Tell the truth. Do not misrepresent who you are, who you speak for, or what happened at an event. “Therefore, having put away falsehood, let each one of you speak the truth with his neighbor.” (Ephesians 4:25)
- Speak with grace. Disagree plainly and without contempt, mockery or abuse — including toward those who disagree with us, and toward those who work in the abortion industry. “Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt.” (Colossians 4:6)
- Do not slander. Do not bear false witness against anyone, inside this movement or outside it. (Exodus 20:16; Titus 3:2)
- Go to your brother first. If a member wrongs you, take it up with them privately before making it public. If that fails, bring it to the group's moderators. “If your brother sins against you, go and tell him his fault, between you and him alone.” (Matthew 18:15–17)
- Restore gently. Correction here should aim at repentance and restoration, not humiliation. “You who are spiritual should restore him in a spirit of gentleness.” (Galatians 6:1)
3. Lawful and peaceful action only
We hold that abolition must be sought by lawful, peaceful means: preaching, persuasion, prayer, lawful assembly and lawful petition of the civil magistrate. That conviction is a condition of using this site, not merely advice.
You may not use this site to plan, encourage, threaten or celebrate:
- violence or physical harm against any person, including abortionists, clinic staff, escorts, patients or officials;
- destruction of or damage to property;
- trespass, obstruction or any other unlawful act;
- harassment, stalking or intimidation of any individual;
- publishing anyone's home address, workplace, telephone number, vehicle or family details.
We will remove such content, close the account responsible, and where there is a credible threat to someone's safety we will report it to the authorities. There are no exceptions to this section.
4. Protecting each other's safety
Event locations are often withheld until shortly before the event, and that is deliberate. When a host shares a location with you, it has been entrusted to you.
- Do not republish an event's exact location outside the group it was shared with.
- Do not photograph or name other members in ways that expose them, without their consent.
- Do not create an account in order to gather information about members or their gatherings. Doing so is a violation of these terms and, depending on your conduct, may be a violation of law.
5. What you post
What you write and the links you share remain yours. By posting them here you give us permission to store and display them on the site to the people you have chosen to show them to, and to keep backup copies. You can delete your content, and closing your account erases your identity from it.
Post only what is yours to post. Do not upload images, video or writing that belongs to someone else without their permission, and do not post material that is unlawful.
You are responsible for what you post. We do not review everything before it appears, and content posted by members is not our speech.
6. Groups
Anyone may start a group. A group's admins decide who joins, may set their own additional rules consistent with these terms, and are responsible for what happens inside it. A group marked “official” has been verified by us as representing the organization it names; an unmarked group represents only itself.
7. Moderation
Group moderators handle what happens in their group. Site moderators can act anywhere. We may hide or remove content, mute a member, remove them from a group, or close an account, when these terms are broken.
When we hide something, we record the reason and tell the person who posted it. If you believe we got it wrong, say so through the contact form. We would rather correct a mistake than defend one.
8. Your account
Keep your password or passkey to yourself; you are responsible for what is done through your account. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has access to it.
You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and in serious cases — threats, doxxing, infiltration — we will do so without warning.
9. The site itself
This site is provided free of charge and as it is. We do not promise that it will be available without interruption, that it will be free of faults, or that it will suit any particular purpose. We are not liable for any loss arising from your use of it, to the fullest extent the law allows.
Above all, we do not guarantee the conduct of any member. Use the same discernment meeting people here that you would use meeting them anywhere else.
10. Changes
We may change these terms. If a change is significant we will say so on the site, and the date at the top shows when they last changed. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the United States of America, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
“Rescue those who are being taken away to death; hold back those who are stumbling to the slaughter.” — Proverbs 24:11
